Not playing MP4 files

I just bought the filehub WD03. I downloaded this app onto my iPhone and iPad. It works great on my phone and plays every file type I have tried. But not on my iPad. It seems to play everything well but MP4 files. I found this odd because everything I found says it should work fine. Also the same files play on my iPhone just fine. I have tried restarting the app, restating my iPad, and made sure my iPad OS was up to date.
